Online Therapy in Dallas, Texas

Anyone in Dallas, from Lake Highlands to Oak Cliff, can meet with Vanessa Gross, LMFT, over secure video and skip the drive entirely. If anxiety, a strained relationship or a possible career change has been on your mind, the sections below show how sessions would work from wherever you are in the city.

Booking Online Therapy From Dallas and Its Neighbors

Most of Dallas lies in Dallas County, and the city's northern edges cross into Collin and Denton counties. County lines make no difference for booking. Because Vanessa is licensed in Texas, the requirement is that you are somewhere in the state while the session is happening.

That takes in every Dallas neighborhood and the cities that border it, including Richardson, Garland, Mesquite, Grand Prairie, Carrollton and the Park Cities.

Home or Work: Choosing Where to Log On

A video session takes the hour it is booked for and nothing on either side of it, with no drive to plan before or after. Where you join from comes down to privacy and to what you will be doing afterward.

A bedroom with the door shut works, and so does a small room at work if nobody can overhear. If you would walk straight back into meetings, home may be easier, because some sessions leave you thoughtful for a while. In a shared apartment, headphones and a fan running outside the door help keep the conversation yours.

Anxiety, Relationships and Career Change

Anxiety can look like rereading an email four times before sending it, or rehearsing a hard conversation so often that you never have it. Vanessa uses CBT to examine the thoughts that keep the worry going, and ACT and mindfulness skills to make the feeling easier to sit with while you act anyway.

Relationship issues often show up as one argument that keeps returning under different topics: the dishes, the calendar, whose family gets the holidays. Attachment-based work helps you see what each of you is reacting to, so the next round can go differently.

If you are weighing a career change, therapy is a place to work out what you want before anyone at your job hears about it. That can include fear of starting over, pressure from family, and how much uncertainty you can live with.

Why a Phone Call Comes First

Before any session comes a phone consultation: 15 minutes, free, and requested on the Work With Me page. When anxiety is part of the picture, a short call can be an easier first move than a full session: you can say as much or as little as you like, ask how Vanessa works, and hear about fees before deciding anything.

Frequently Asked Questions

New Tide Therapy is an online-only practice, so every session, including the first, takes place over secure video. There is no address to visit in Dallas or anywhere else. What you get instead is a full 60-minute session from wherever you have privacy, with no parking, no commute and no rush to get back.

A move within Texas changes nothing: sessions carry on from Houston, El Paso or a small town the same way they did from Dallas. A move to another state is different, because Vanessa can only work with clients while they are in Texas. If an out-of-state offer is on the table, raise it early so the two of you can plan how to wrap up well.

Pick a time when your partner is out if you can, or a spot where you won't be overheard, such as a parked car or a room at the far end of the house. Headphones mean nobody else hears what Vanessa says. It is also fine to tell your partner you need the hour to yourself; you don't owe anyone a summary afterward.
